Progress and Parental Imprisonment: A Child’s Perspective

The annual pan-European conference, hosted by POPS (Partners of Prisoners and Families Support Group) and in partnership with Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE), looked at progress in England & Wales for children with imprisoned parents, underlining the importance of a child’s perspective.
The changing role of technology was explored throughout the conference for its potential in supporting child-parent relationships. Panel discussions examined the position of the media, and how they contribute to public opinion.

Crescere con i genitori detenuti: la prospettiva dei bambini.

L’annuale conferenza europea, organizzata da POPS (Partners of Prisoners and Families Support Group) in collaborazione con Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE), ha affrontato il tema dello sviluppo e della crescita del bambino, figlio di genitori detenuti, sottolineando quanto sia importante un cambio di prospettiva.
Durante la conferenza si è esaminato anche il ruolo giocato dalle nuove tecnologie nel mantenimento e nello sviluppo della relazione genitore-figlio.
Una tavola rotonda è stata interamente dedicata ad analizzare il contributo che i media giocano nella sensibilizzazione dell’opinione pubblica su questo tema.
